This deck combines Pete's synergy with discarding and the discard pile to take full advantage of Forced Learning. Short Supply provides you with a balanced deck while paired with Forced Learning and acts like a tutoring effect, giving you options to bring back with Scavenging and Professor William Webb.
This is a strategy that only Pete can pull off. He's the only survivor that can play both Down the Rabbit Hole and Forced Learning (without the aid of Versatile, allowing you to spend In the Thick of It exp on Relic Hunter). As such, the deck has a very unique playstyle and flavor if you're looking for something that's a little different. Playing Down the Rabbit Hole stops you from playing some of the stronger Survivor cards, but you make up for that with quick advancement and an overall stronger deck.
Card Advantage/Quality: -Forced Learning -Lucky Cigarette Case -Scavenging -Professor William Web
Buffs: -Darkhorse -Moonstone -Scrapper -Track Shoes -Grizzled (when upgraded w/ Always Prepared feels like a permanent buff)

Skill Pete is definitely good. Scavenging is just one of my fav's and I love to play around it. |
Mar 17, 2023In particular, Scavenging and Schoffner's Catalogue become very powerful. Getting a fast effect to play the Catalogue makes you a nuts econ guy, potentially for the whole team. In solo, I would take out the Chance Encounter as it's mostly there to save Duke or replace Webb once he's run his course (let your teammates spend exp on a good ally!). |
Nice! I like to go asset-light and skill-heavy on Dark Horse Pete, but I like what you've done here. With so many items, did you also consider Geared Up?
