She is Fearless, but never clueless.

In a fight, maybe helpless, but never hapless.

Her companions are timeless, although her appearance might seem tasteless.

Who is that girl? (Du ba-duuba) Who is that girl?

  • Bob Dylan*, "Lola's anthem on the bridge of the Mayflower"

(*This is definitely NOT Bob Dylan)

This is a Lola deck for a 4-player Dunwich Horror extravaganza, a campaign I am so familiar with that I decided to go for something fancy that can only work in a 4-player-environment if I'm honest.

The goal is a complete pacifist run, no weapons, no attacks. The occasional mook might fall due to a timely Blinding Light, but that's ok in my books. People do stupid things when they can't see.

Trying to maximize the effects you can still use when in another role, this deck also runs without notable spells. This might seem odd, but the first planned upgrades are two Protective Incantations. With three other players in the team, spending two resources a turn seems very reasonable for removing the need to go 4 or even 3 above in crucial tests. The only way to fuel those long-term though are Dr. Milan Christopher and the occasional Emergency Cache. So your best bet is to Barricade (potentially even upgraded) yourself into a nice, clue-rich place and spend as many actions investigating as possible. If Dr. Milan Christopher never showed up, even spending actions for resourcesis ok for the massive benefit your team gains.

The big question should always be when to be in which role. Usually spending the Mythos phase as a Mystic is wise, being able to Ward of Protection away nasty surprises or to get rid of the drawn enemy via Blinding Light. If you want to capitalize the -ability on Dr. Milan Christopher, you'll need to switch to Seeker mode during your turn. If there is nothing to seek, staying a Survivor most of the time can minimize the impact of your personal weakness, because those assets are mostly replacable.

Things to look forward to to upgrade:

Lola doesn't have access to Seal of the Elder Sign.

Thanks @matt88, that's correct! I removed it from the description.
