This is one half of my Zoey-Ashcan duo that I used to beat circle undone. It is a Zoey-Fighter build that uses her high willpower and guardian tricks to grab the occasional clue. It is meant to be paired with this Ashcan deck: https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/661537 . Zoey takes care of enemies, and grabs the occasional clue with Sixth sense, Scene of the crime and evidence.
Stick to the plan: I added First watch, Fool me once, and Prepared for the worst, but in hindsight, I'm not sure Stick to the plan was the best addition for this deck. Prepared for the worst is your backup plan to grab a weapon if you run out of enchanted blade charges or need a meat cleaver (the deck is a bit short on card draw, so it's a nice option to dig deep). Fool me once is your ancient evils tech, and First watch is included to keep up momentum. A lot of people say this card isn't worth it in two player, but a bad mythos phase can easily stumble your plans if you are split up and your cloover draws an enemy, or if you get one of the many, MANY curse cards in circle undone. And since stick makes sure you have it when needed, I think it earned it's spot.
Opening hand: You need a weapon. Either one will do (though Hungering blade is a bit more tricky, as you only attack for 4 initially). Sixth sense is good, because Zoey can help picking up clues in the early stages of the game. Any ally (either beat cop or Mori) are good for stat boost or the ability to dig for your cross. Safeguard was insanely good with Duke, allowing you a lot of free moves! I would probably prioritize a second Safeguard over Bandolier in hindsight. Bandolier was originally included to allow for two weapons and a Scroll of Prophesies.
Weapon: Meat cleaver is good, though you need to get low on sanity to take full advantage. Enchanted blade is good for card draw and sanity heal, so you ideally can balance on two horror, allowing you to take advantage of the extra attack power. I included Hungering blade because it seemed fun, but I only managed to find it once. The extra treacheries do not synergize very well with the low sanity of meat cleaver, and it needs other attack boosts to be really effective. However, with a beat cop and/or Ace of swords you can get up there, and take full advantage of it. I upgraded into I've had worse to have a way out of dangerously low sanity.
Ally: Zoey really sings when you get her cross out, but Guardian lacks good ways to find it. I really enjoyed playing down Mori as a safety net, adding horror from the meat cleaver to him, and subsequently use him to search for the Cross or an enchanted blade. Of course you lack the stat boost, but in Circle undone you have several scenarios with low attack witches, Whipporwils or acolytes. In hindsight, I would probably include a second beat cop over Hallowed mirror, as I never played that one once...
It was a really fun deck to play, and overall, it did quite well throughout the campaign. It won Witching hour, At death's doorstep, For the greater good, and Before the black throne. I most often lost due to treacheries causing horror damage, so prioritize these I've had worse. Hope you'll enjoy the deck.
