Hooooboy. So I'm not actually a really big fan of Culver. I've tried to lay out a deck here that uses action economy and free movement effects to try to keep culver well positioned. I'm pretty uncomfortable with Ritual Candles here, not sure they're a super great option.
I played Jim through Dunwich and really liked him. played him as a a sort of medic and cycled aggressively for candles. really increases your odds on challenges
