A deck that solos the Night's Usurper standalone on Hard with ease, as long as you don't get the wrong weaknesses (Through the Gates, Amnesia, Paranoia, Overzealous).
This deck doesn't break new grounds nor showcase any new combos or ideas. It's just a personal optimization of a very powerful deck.
A few random notes:
- Moment of Respite is the most action efficient way to deal with scenario and card cycling horror, and you have the resources to spare
- Never bet anything using Skid's ability ("money mode"): Watch This! is far easier to succeed with when used together with Manual Dexterity on a DC 0 test.
- Sure Gamble is tech for The Night's Usurper's token, which can't be countered by Lucky and frequently won't meet the threshold for Eucatastrophe.
- Accumulates ~50+ resources by the end of the game with ease. Starting with Indebted and The Tower • XVI will barely slow you down.
- For slightly better anti-weakness tech, drop Chuck for Leo, and go Lucky (3) -> Lucky (2) to take Ace in the Hole over Daredevil. Use the actions from Ace in the Hole to offset the requirement of many common weaknesses such as Internal Injury.
- Relic Hunter > Lucky Cigarette Case (3). Quantity over Quality when you're already drawing everything
- Cheap Shot is mostly tech for Xzharah who can't be easily dealt with in a turn.
- Sneak Attack (2) is actually a completely pointless upgrade in this scenario, since you're soloing and there's no Aloof enemies.
