Scavenging + Lockpicks are your best friend for this:
- S + L - Your fingerprint kits or Flashlight back into your hand after you use all charges
- S + L - Lupara into your hand so you always have a potential 6 dmg ready to go to hunt VP monsters
- S + L - Your other set of lockpicks into your hand if God forbid you lose them
- S + L - Your Green Man medallion you commit to a skill back into your hand so you always have a spare copy of Unexpected Courage at the ready
Sonic Shoes are invaluable - +1 Dex in a mostly unused slot Keep in mind that you dont need to have monsters on the space you move to in order to test Dex (3) to move to a connecting location (like a free Pathfinding)
Recommended early upgrade path:
-
Charisma -> Lola Santiago -> Adaptable (Use Green Man for discount so this is achievable) - Lola helps sooo much with both Sonic Shoes and Lockpicks. Ideally, you will want both Leo and Lola up so you need Charisma for that. Replace Dr. Milan Christopher for second copy of Scavenging
-
Next: Upgrade lockpicks then upgrade backpack. You want to hold on to those lockpicks and not lose them to a bad bag pull. This will help keep your engine running with Lola. Upgrading the backpack will help get your engine running and get your good assets at the ready to play (Remember that Emergency cache can be held on the backpack)
About Streetwise: Latest taboo makes the Permanent version of Streetwise prohibitively expensive. Running two copies of the lvl 0 Streetwise from the Winnifred Habbamock deck to compensate. Usually streetwise is a must purchase, but with 2 copies of lvl 0, its not as urgent a need.
