Mandy Thompson Recharge Pendant of the Queen (Taboo)

This looks like a really nice deck.
One thing I am unsure about is how you deal with Shocking Discovery. Mandy-Decks often run Research Librarian just to not waste a potentially very powerful Practice Makes Perfect or Backpack.

What is your approach? Just live with the fact that aforementioned cards will fizzle?

I am also not a big fan of Divination, especially not instead of Eureka!
Could you elaborate on your thought process on suggesting that upgrade path?

Ariadne's Twine will do both the secret generating and the secret moving so you will likely appreciate having that.

@foobar I think Mr. Hook deal very weel with shocking Discovery, but if you play with taboo its very expensive, but pretty viable, you cicle the deck very fast with choosing two targets with the fetchs, plus Astounding, and Occult Evidence. Also Mr. Hook can get more secrets, and@kamiidudesugestion of [Ariadne's Twine](/card/07304) its very good card, but I don't suggest an upgrad path becaouse it depends investigators you are playing with, and the campaing, its very difficult to take any card off, so I trade Eureka for Divination, but if you play in standart, you can take Magnifying Glass off, or maybe Enraptured, maybe take off one promise of power. Once I run In the Thick of It I put Logical Reasoning, and Deny Existence, but you can try some modifications. Recharge pendant of the queen with divination are the first Idea of the deck, I need Play more times to test the deck, but it's a not competitive game, you can run cards for fun, and you can play without taboo, let's go for the fun.

Justr tried to do something similar and then checked what others figured out. Our decks are very similar in a lot of ways. However it's just 1 Occult Evidence if you're running a 30 card deck. Don't make it even easier than it already is with Mandy ;)
