The Circle Redone

This deck was built before the 2023 taboo (i.e. before Power Word was nerfed to a worse Guts), so our group agreed to play with the previous taboo for this campaign.

As it turns out, the nerf is well deserved.

Power Word single-handedly turned 3 scenarios (namely, The Secret Name, In the Clutches of Chaos and Before the Black Throne) into nothing more than a spring trip. Especially during the finale, with Mindless Dancers now actively helping the team, we finished it with only 1 doom on agenda 3.

Another highlight was during Union and Disillusion, in which the game throws ~30 points of damage and horror at us, but all the healing cards packed in the deck managed to heal each and every point of those.

Well Prepared was included as a silver bullet against Willpower tests (which TCU was known for); Girish Kadakia replaced Peter Sylvestre (2) (a very good choice, might I add); a choice was made between Earthly Serenity and First Aid, the former was deemed preferable due to all the boosting tools.
