This is my very first shot of making my own deck. I'm quite a new player to the game, I have played through NOTZ and 5 scenarios of Dunwich with decks found in here, and now I wanted to try to make my own, as most the decks I found either only have cards from Dunwich and core or had cards from the later expansions, which I don't have, and I thought there was some good cards in the Carcosa expansion.
I plan on trying the deck in Dunwich two handed solo with Zoey, and then if it works I'll try them again in Carcosa and/or some standalones or the fan-made Alice in Wonderland campaign.
Feel free to comment, I want to learn but I haven't got as much time as I'd like to watch youtube videos about deckbuilding, but I have seen a few of playingboardgames' excellent videos.
My thinking on order of upgrades (as I'm new I'm playing untabooed):
- Higher education (3 xp) (permanent)
- Charisma (3 xp - total 6 xp) (permanent)
- Pathfinder (1 xp - total 7 xp) (replace Inquiring Mind)
- Pathfinder (1 xp - total 8 xp) (replace
- if translated Archaic Glyphs (3 xp - total 11 xp) (upgrade)
- Seeking answers (2 xp - total 13 xp) (replace Deduction)
- Seeking answers (2 xp - total 15 xp) (replace Working a Hunch)
- if researched Strange solution (4 xp - total 19 xp) (upgrade)
- Cryptic Research (4 xp - total 23 xp) (replace sketches)
- Cryptic Research (4 xp - total 27 xp) (replace sketches)
- Magnifying Glass (1 xp - total 28 xp) (upgrade)
- Magnifying Glass (1 xp - total 29 xp) (upgrade)
- Deduction (2 xp - total 31 xp) (upgrade)

I know I'll only get to do half the upgrades in Dunwich, but I heard that you get a lot of xp in Carcosa, so I made the list of upgrades long :-)
