The idea is to give Roland as much mileage from his Thompsons as possible. He will have to take some tough investigations on low-shroud locations to keep turning resources from Christopher (or upgrade to field agent).
Tons of XP to max this out, though some can be shortcut with Refine. Not all upgrades are needed.
Top Upgrade Priorities:
- Extended Stock
- More hypothesis triggers
- Upgrade Thompsons for the resources
- Stick to the Plan and Leather Grip (either order)
- Quicksilver bullets
The Plan:
- Prepared for the Worst
- Custom Modifications
- Ever Vigilant or Extra Ammo
Custom Modifications:
- Extended Stock
- Leather Grip
- Quicksilver Bullets
Empirical Hypothesis:
- Trial and Error
- Field Research
The rest is mostly to taste. Extra Ammo seems like a must to save cash and keep the modifications in play, but if scenario effects are leading to a more than a couple instances of no weapon on hand, a second prepared for the worst or even well-maintained might be a better call.
Custom Ammo combined with quicksilver bullets could lead to some insane damage output from a single attack, and highly repeatable, but the cost in both resources and XP might be too steep. I'll have to play around with this and see how I find it to perform in the first few scenarios
