First attempt with George any my limited card pool of one box of the original core set, Dunwich, and Drowned City. This is a meant to be a seeker George with the usual skill-based flexibility. I’m not sure just how much George can accomplish with just his ability-driven assets and events, but it seems like it could be a lot.

Willpower is George’s weakest stat and I’ve included two ways to mitigate that weakness. Peter Sylvestre and Liquid Courage. Sylvestre will play second fiddle to Carlisle, but it is an incredibly strong card for a willpower challenged character. So I’ve included him at the start. I’ve also included Liquid Courage to deal with horror problems. The downside of failing on this card feeds into George’s ability. There is no real risk of being forced to discard a random card. It will at least have its skill value, even if it cannot be retrieved quickly with a grim resolve.

I’ also not sure about Dig Deep, Hard Knock, and Hyperawareness. I just don’t know if Carlisle is enough to fund these cards. I’ve included one Emergency Cache to help with these cards. It may be that Lone Wolf is also necessary to make this package work. The whole thing may go for more skills and events.

On the skill front, George’s ability means that you can stash the incredibly powerful Inquiring Mind and Rise to the Occasion cards for when their conditions are met and they are really needed. Guts is here as another mitigation to the poor willpower, and Unexpected Courage is always useful. The sprinkle of other skills is for testing. I’m not sure if they are strong enough to take up slots, but I wanted to round out George’s flexibility. I’m not sure if I have too many or too few skills. Only testing will tell.

Thematically, this George is smart, resourceful, charming, quick on his feet, and a smooth talker - the usual traits of a successful lawyer. He is also stubborn, dogged to a fault, occasionally reckless, and prone to bouts of depression and alcohol abuse.
