This deck is created by Russian Arkham Horror LCG gang (O`Bannions fear them, Sheldons avoid them).

Once upon a time (today to be precise) I was sitting there in Carcosa with my friendly neighborhood King in Yellow, drinking tea, going mad. You know, casual Carcosa stuff. Suddenly he said: "Oi, mate, how many resources do you think Sefina can gain during one turn?"

I carefully thought this thought for a moment, then cautiously responded: "Well, I guess at least 60, so she could drain the resource pool?"

I liked this idea so much that I went on for a ramified discussion with the voices in my head about this, which resulted in the following deck.

You may wonder — who would want to play this deck? What can it do? Well, I don't know about clues or something, but it can definitely gain lots of resources!

Let's defy the rules (and common sense also) for a bit and imagine we could have waaaayyyyy more than 8 cards in hand. Also let's assume we were so lucky that all our combo pieces were carefully assembled.

Cards on the table before starting this madness:

  • Leo De Luca
  • Alchemical Transmutation
  • Double, Double
  • Burglary
  • 2x High Roller

Madness intensifies:

  • no action: Ace in the Hole + Double, Double = gain 6 more actions
  • 1 action: (Alchemical Transmutation (4) + 2х Watch This (12) + Double or Nothing + 2x Quick Thinking + Premonition) x 2 = 16 x 2 = 32 gross / 26 net (–6 on Watch This), plus 4 actions
  • 2 action: (Burglary (5) + 3x Three Aces (3) + 2x High Roller (6) + Double or Nothing) x 2 = 14 x 2 = 28 gross / 22 net (–6 on High Rollers)
  • 3 action: Unscrupulous Loan = 10 net
  • 4-6 actions: Painted Worlds copying Hot Streak = 30 gross / 21 net
  • 7 action: draw Hot Streak from under Sefina's 'gator card
  • 8-9 action: 2x Hot Streak = 20 gross / 14 net
  • 10-11 action: 2x Faustian Bargain = 10 net
  • 12-13 action: 2x 21 or Bust = from 0 to 18 gross / 14 net (depends on how lucky you are)
  • 14 action: Pay Day = 14 net

Summary: 144-162 gross / 123-137 net

Welp, this numbers do look good for me!

Of course, never ever we could be able to pull off this turn. HOWEVER, if (the sky) 162 resources are the limit, you most certainly could get 60 in one turn! And if you ever manage to bring this monstrosity to life... You'd find yourself short on resource tokens. Another good reason to purchase 7 cores, eh?

I like those little games to see how high could you go with certain things even though it’s totally useless. Last time I was looking who can use the Cyclopean Hammer the hardest (I reached 23 each test with Diana Stanley).

Just one thing, 21 or Bust does not bring you 21 resources but 9 at best :)

@Valentin1331 oh my, should’ve not drink too much tea with the King! I’ll correct my calculation, thank you.

Borrowed time with some clicks on it can give you 3 more actions. Gregory Gry can give you 6 resources for each DoN and 3 without DoN. Spend an action evading an enemy with Blur (4), get 2 more actions [net 1 action]. Get Lucky Dice and Henry Wan, collect loads of cash. To make loads bigger, add 10 Blurse tokens by playing Geas, promising to not play cards, and then play Unscrupulous Loan; also add 2x Keep Faith to get 8 blesses.

This sums up to 4 extra actions [that are 4 more resources due to payout], 2 actions are spent on playing Geas and exhausting Henry Wan. So one can be spent on Burglary, which is 2-5 resources; another on Emergency Cache or Voice of Ra.

You need 6 cards (Borrowed Time, Gregory Gry, Henry Wan, Geas, Lucky Dice, Blur; also 2 Charisma); you don't need one Unscrupulous Loan, one Alchemical Transmutation, one Pay Day, one Emergency Cache, one Premonition. Skip the Blur and that would lose you 1 action; add Versatile [Blur, Sign Magick to have 3 Arcane slots, 2x Justify the Means, Keep Faith]; add another Versatile for another Keep Faith.

Generically, Justify the Means seems better than Premonition for the first test, unless I'm missing something?

Also, Investment! To set up everything in your plan, you need 6 actions, and at least 15 resources; assuming someone else (friendly Agnes?) seals a tentacle and plays 2x Shoeffner's Catalogue, this means your Investment will have at least 3 ticks on it. Also, Red Clock, properly timed, would give you 2 more actions.

No, scratch that, Shoffner's Catalogue only works with Items.
