Hands down, the best true solo deck I’ve used so far. This is the starting deck I used for True Solo in NoTZ, Dunwich and Carcosa campaigns. All 3 campaigns were handily beaten by Ursula. Your first goal is to dump 10xp into Hyperphysical Shotcaster. Max out Railshooter, Aetheric Link and Empowered Configuration. This will allow you to use intellect as fight with a +2 to hit and +1 damage, and have 6 uses. You will not have to worry about enemies anymore. Keep "I've got a plan!" in your hand for monster emergencies. You can acquire Ornate Bow instead of Hyperphysical Shotcaster, but the action use on reloading may bog Ursula down. Your next goal will be to acquire Ancestral Knowledge for more skill cards in your hand, followed by Miskatonic Archaeology Funding to play more allies. Whitton Greene and Dr. Elli Horowitz will help you get your relics into play, and picking up Dr. Milan Christopher or Professor William Webb when you acquire Archaelogical Funding is a good move. You can slowly ditch Fieldwork and Hyperawareness as you upgrade.

Thanks, I'll try this out at some point! Though I gotta say, your deck name is beyond lazy XD

But don't Whitton Greene & Elli have countersynergy? With Elli, you don't want to draw Relics: you wanna pull them straight out of your deck. Cheers

Good point! But I do find that they synergize nicely with each other, Elli can grab relics that she attaches to herself and Whitton grabs relics which go into your hand and you attach to an open slot, they get relics into different open slots. Also, if a relic is attached to Elli, it is considered under your control and you get the +1 intellect from Whitton. I did end up swapping a copy of Whitton for a copy of Dr. Milan Christopher down the road, so I could take advantage of Miskatonic Archaeology Funding

I thought that since Ursula has access to ALL of the relics, having both Elli and Whitton in your deck essentially guarantees that you will get to play the relics that you want to play in every game. I tested this deck with a bunch of different relics, and landed on the ones I published, I found they were the most useful for True Solo. I did eventually picking up The Necronomicon which is a great relic as well.

Great, the deck now has a better name ;-)

Thanks for the response. I will say that using both Elli & Whitton enables you to save the XP cost for Relic Hunter. Did Call of the Unknown bother you much in your play throughs? Pocket Telescope and Gené Beauregard seem good ways to weaken (and sometimes trivialize) it.

By the way, I think taking In the Thick of It would be great for upgrading the Hyperphysical Shotcaster faster. You have several defensive options, so starting the campaign with 6 health/sanity shouldn't be too bad.

Very true, Call of the Unknown would be great to play right off the bat. I did rely on "I've got a plan!" on the first scenerios to get the initial XP, but damage and horror became almost irrelevant as I had enough ally soak + Hallowed Mirror in play on every session.

Apologies, not Call of the Unknown, but In the Thick of It would be helpful initially. Call of the Unknown was never an issue with Ursula’s move+investigate action compression.

BTW, “Reformed Silver Twilight Lodge Janitor” would be a great investigator
