This is my character deck from my current campaign. It's really nice to get Scavenging in the opening hand, along with at least one item. This will feed Wendy's ability, by allowing you to discard the item and later on scavenge it back into your hand. If you don't get that combo, there are several events that will minimize bad skill tests, "Look what I found!" is awesome for those close investigation calls and Lucky! acts as a semi-limited 2 wild symbol card.
Combat isn't the strong suit for Wendy, but Backstab, Baseball Bat, and .41 Derringer can help, along with discarding other items for combat skill icons (scavenge those back if able!) Elusive, Survival Instinct, and your trusted Stray Cat are there to help you run away in a pinch.
What I really like about Wendy's Amulet is that if you time things right, you can get 2 uses out of a single event. First play an event, then play her Amulet, and then use the Amulet to play the same event again from your discard pile.
How does this deck weather not running any flashlights? Do you find it hard to hit that +2 success for investigating to trigger scavenging? I like the emphasis on pitching to the bin before getting things back - that links up nicely with the amulet indeed.
