Oct 27, 2016Pickpocketing and Rabbit's Foot feel redundant. I understand that Wendy Adams wants card draw to fuel her ability; however, too much card draw can lead to you getting your signature weakness, Abandoned and Alone. Since this is an evasion build, Pickpocketing seems to be the better choice. That frees up 2 slots to double up on Perception. Alternatively, you can slot in Baseball Bat to give another option for damage since you can re-draw tokens more easily. |
This deck nicely encapsulates the challenge of all aspiring survivor deck-builders and players at the moment: what's the point of evading enemies? At its heart, you've got to be asking what follows the evasion. Cards like Elusive give you a pseudo-evade in moving you from an enemy, which is often the follow-up to a successful evasion test, but it can also be anti-synergistic if you're hoping to follow that evade with a cheeky stab.
As ArkhamPI has suggested to me: this deck is aching for more investigation tools. The current survivor/rogue pool doesn't much support it, and having a pure evasion game without the potency of a follow-up like Dynamite Blast (as Skids does) is very hard. Perhaps dropping an Opportunist would make way for Perception? Maybe one of the kitties would be where I'd find space for the other perception? But it's also worth noting: this deck has ways of rewarding a failed investigation attempt in Rabbit's Foot and "Look what I found!". Somehow the surviving keeps surviving...
