This is my take on the Dark Horse / Fire Axe deck with Ashcan Pete. It's for our first stab at the Dunwich campaign (no spoilers please!), with 3 players total on Normal difficulty. I decided to remove most (all) of the evade action cards that other builds have as you seem to rarely evade and with Peter Sylvestre and Dark Horse, Ashcan is already at a 4-5 agility baseline. Didn't put Guts in for the same reason, with Dark Horse and an upgraded Sylvestre, Ashcan has a 5-6 baseline on Willpower. For both Agility and Will, the rare times that on Normal I'd draw something worse than a -2 I would have my Lucky! card as a backup. I have the feeling that the Perception cards are a little overkill for clue searching but they will at least serve well with Scavenging when needed.

Upgrading plans are to get the Sylvestre upgrades, Lucky upgrades, Scrapper, Flare and Stroke of Luck (in no particular order). These cards would replace something like Perception, Emergency Cache, and a Rabbit's Foot or a Scavenging. My plan is to start the upgrades with Sylvestre to play twice the deck as is and figure out what I should swap the Flares / stroke of Lucks with.

i had the chance to try Dark Horse + Fire Axe in my Pete's deck, and i enjoyed it a lot. Dark horse was a forced choice 'cose during Dunwich i had to revise the whole deck since bad things happens to me, i've not played the entire combo choices ( Forbidden Knowelwdge and Emergency Cache ) but i agree with tat if you want to bet on it.

i have only one advice fo Dunwich: When you can, invest skill points to reinforce the skills! ( i'm going to face off the last scenario with 12 skills )

And Scavenging looks to me, in my experience with that, less usefull than it appears

GOOD LUCK!
