I’ve been trying to build an Exile deck for a while and Daniela is a perfect investigator for this. She doesn’t have a lot of mandatory cards and is quite flexible.
The two ally soaks in Jessica Hyde and Peter Sylvestre are very important for her ability, so Flare works amazing for her.
Level 0 replacements: Guard Dog Tetsuo Mori Enchanted Blade Scene of the Crime Toe to Toe "Get behind me!"
I would likely go for Charisma + Fire Extinguisher as first upgrades, followed by the allies and then Exiles. This should give you some exile cards by scenario 4 or so.
IMO, when you go heavy on Exile including Déjà Vu, then you shouldn't be starting with that on scenario 4 BUT right from the beginning. So you can start getting Exile cards that you don't need to Exile.
Also, IMO, cards like Lucky(2x3) and Scrapper (4) are 10 wasted XP that should go into Exile cards. Also I don't see the need to spend 4 XP on Peter Sylvestre. You don't need his stat boosts while I see Jessica Hyde being quite useful for a fighter Daniela. Instead you can go the cheap damage soak way a get Cherished Keepsake (1) instead of Peter and Leather Coat (1) instead or in addition to Jessica. Both are cards you can get for your first XP BEFORE you get Déjà Vu and just use both as 3 damage/horror soak instead of the full 4 it offers.
Furthermore, A Test of Will (2) has an anti-synergy compared to the level 1 version. Spending more XP to NOT exile the card when you want expecially cheap cards to be exiled. Level 2 only makes sense if you want to have more options for Burn After Reading.
All in all, your deck has SO much damage/horror soak/mitigation and is lacking more fight stuff (especially items) that this seems to be a 80% support character which is only useful in a 4 player game and maybe 3 player game.
BUT all in all, I agree that Daniela is THE perfect investigator to try a heavy Exile deck.
