Trish Scarborough Strategy Tips

Trish Scarborough is a slippery rogue who excels at gathering clues and evading enemies—often at the same time. Her high intellect and agility ensures that she’s able to do both quite well on her own, but the key to playing Trish properly is taking advantage of her powerful ability, and knowing when to use it for extra clues, or when to use it to evade an enemy.

You can trigger Trish’s ability safely in a number of ways. If you can evade an enemy and then investigate, this is the simplest way. However, if you’re engaged with an enemy and want to use her ability to evade it, you can use Cryptographic Cipher to investigate without spending an action, or simply investigate and use Obfuscation to cancel the attack of opportunity. In a pinch, a well-timed Working a Hunch can guarantee an automatic evasion on a tough enemy. Remember that Trish’s ability counts as evading an enemy for the purposes of Pickpocketing, so try to play that early to take advantage of some easy card draw!

Thanks to Trish’s ability, you will want to keep enemies in play whenever possible. The more enemies in play, the more opportunities you’ll have to trigger her ability. However, sometimes, you’ll need to remove an enemy from play simply to avoid getting bogged down. Evade an enemy, and then use a .25 Automatic or Sneak Attack to take it out. A Backstab can also seal the deal on a boss or a high-health enemy.

Trish’s weakness is harder to play around, but in a pinch you can always take an attack of opportunity and try to investigate—just don’t fail!
