What's this all about anyway?
This Parallel Jenny deck focuses on adaptability through a strong talent package, backed by solid economy, card draw, and action efficiency. Early on, the deck starts a bit constrained, but it ramps up quickly as key talents come online (with more exp). With access to up to five actions per round, flexible stat boosts, free movement, and reliable resources, Jenny can fill multiple roles while leaning primarily into combat. Friends in Low Places acts as a key talent tutor, ensuring the right tools are available for most situations.
Sounds good? Great then let's go through the deck step by step:
Starting with the Events
Because those are your backbone of the deck if can't play those you won't be able to to anything.
So in generell there are pretty standard. Bank Job is nice if you want to support a teammate that got unlucky with their economy cards. At best play it at the beginning and hope you do not draw it so much later in the game.
Cheat the System yes i know currently we only have three different classes but that will change later so we get all the classes and hence a fair amount a resources. And we will be left with one exp from In the Thick of It so that's also the case why we choose this card. And a fast Emergency Cache is fair for me.
Easy Mark never played this card before but we have a good amount of card draw, so it should be possible to play at least two at the same time.
Faustian Bargain you can replace this card if your party do not like the tokens you will add to the bag. Or just tell them you do this for the team, right? (You = Team)
If you don't like it take another bank job and maybe the good old Emergency Cache
Friends in Low Places hope you draw that card early like super early. We really need this card to get all our sweet talents. -> Trait = Talent
And i really like the mood of the card for Jenny.
Ok Skills will be next
Let's make it quick all standard the only thing you could change would be Unexpected Courage for maybe Guts if you have a campaign that demands more head tests. I'll go with Unexpected Courage because it fit's the theme a little bit more.
Everything but talent(s)
My first play was to take Switchblade instead of Mauser C96 but the blade itself does not provide any + fist and also wants a 2 or more so not so easy if you playing on hard hence we switch (haha) to the (more expensive...) Mauser C96
Everything we need until we can play our Jenny's Twin .45s
Jenny's Twin .45s +2 fist and +1 dmg is all we ask (i wish it would be +2 dmg) but my goal here is to play parallel Jenny so i take the twins.
And also those bring you a fair amount of resources during the scenario if you can take all the kills like a good adc :D
Lucky Cigarette Case it is good. Standard but good.
Leather Jacket in case you need soak. Add one more if you feel like you get to much dmg
Leo De Luca expensive it's worth the cost. And a little bit of soak as well.
Ok finally talents thats all i'm here for
The (maybe) very reason you pick parallel instead of normal Jenny.
Her ability to play an talent and reducing it's cost by one is very solid.
Basically everything here is 50% off or free. So the first boost is on the house. And if you don't need it anymore just discard it and get your resources back. It's great. And also feels so well prepared. You just happen to have all the right talents for (mostly) every situation.
Empirical Hypothesis i would say you can add this but be aware that it might not so easy for you to trigger it's ability. So maybe you take the second trigger you will fail at the beginning if you only at +1-2. So you could also take a second Lucky Cigarette Case for the beginning.
Fieldwork I really love this card it is so powerful, it is basically a Unexpected Courage every round. Sure you need a clue but right at the beginning you should have plenty so it is always a good call. And when every clue is gathered you just use your second ability and discarded for it's resources.
Lone Wolf at the beginning of the game this card is very strong. In my memory if you reach scenario +4 you will start grouping a lot more and hence it is more unlikely to get your resource. But for the start it is very solid.
Physical Training and Streetwise both our main reason we had so many resources cards in our deck. You will play one of those cards probably every turn/round. I wish we could use the new versions form chapter 2 for Physical Training but it's ok.
Safeguard free movement, nice
Steady-Handed i really like this card. I used it for my Carolyn Katana deck and it work out pretty good i would say. Here we will not trigger the healing effect so often but the +1 is neat. Also the reason we play In the Thick of It for our deck.
Stealth you can't win all fights from the start so sometimes it is good to avoid an enemy for a round. Or do some dmg and then leave it behind. There are many options here.
So thats it for my build. Below you can see my sources for this deck.
Thanks for reading :)
Oh and for her weakness Searching for Izzie just make sure you have Streetwise or Fieldwork and Unexpected Courage on your field/hand. Or ask someone at the table. That's all i can say for now. The parallel version hit's hard :D
