Deck uses cards from the Dunwich Legacy, and Path to Carcosa expansions.

I get asked a lot what my usual solo Wendy deck is when I mention that Wendy is one of my most successful solo investigators. So here is a rough version of how I start out my Wendy solo decks at 0 XP.

While it may seem like it's trying to synergize with "Wendy's Amulet" being Event heavy, I hardly ever spend the action / resources to play it as an Asset, and usually end up pitching it for the ? ? Icons. Wendy is just better at dealing with her problems with Event cards rather than Assets given her deck building options and base stats.

Deck focuses on not engaging enemies and staying on the move. "Think on Your Feet" and "Survival Instinct" help to keep Wendy moving while avoiding enemies at the same time to condense actions. And there's no better card at doing this than "Elusive"

For those times where killing an enemy is a must "Backstab" and "Fire Axe" got her back for some explosive damage potential, and "Sneak Attack" and "Waylay" give more enemy control options, albeit you'll want to try to avoid using the latter two cards unless necessary, since they are both action and resource hungry which is the bane of solo play. But sometimes she's gotta do what she's gotta do.

Having to rely on a lot of Events however isn't cheap, so "Dario El-Amin" is amazing in her deck to help keep her funded, "Lone Wolf" is a standard solo staple that goes into nearly any solo deck that can run it, "Emergency Cache" for extra value if you do manage to find the time to put "Wendy's Amulet" into play.

Other options I've used for Wendy include "Pickpocketing" which can be helpful if you use her special ability aggressively. "Narrow Escape" is almost always a great card for Wendy but finding room for it is tricky. I'd probably side out "Waylay" for "Narrow Escape" If I found I wanted more flexibility instead of enemy control.

LEVELING UP WENDY

1) Always get x2 "Lockpicks" ASAP. Usually replacing "Flashlight", but sometimes I stack them for Clue Acquiring asset consistency.

2) Then "Scrapper".

3) Next I decide if I'm going to upgrade "Peter Sylvestre" into his Lv2 version OR swap him out for "Cat Burglar". Depends on Mental Trauma VS "Mobility Importance" in the campaign. Overall I try not to "game" campaigns too much though.

4) Optional. "Plucky". Not always necessary, but I use it from time to time. Has perfect coverage with "Scrapper", Works better if I decide to keep "Peter Sylvestre" around.

5) Once those cards have been acquired I start to focus on upgrading her cards to their cantrip versions or strengthening her economy, "Lucky!" LV2, "Emergency Cache" Lv2, "Hot Streak" LV2, "Pickpocketing" Lv2

6) Finally at this point I just purchase "A Test of Will" and "Devil's Luck" as needed for the rest of the campaign.

Wow i used this deck and love it. It’s so unconventional with almost all events but I’m impressed at how well it works. Blowing my mind about all the different ways you can build a deck in this game.
