SUMMARY

We're trying to maximize Daisy's ability here. Several combos are present revolving around ITEMS and SEARCHING for Astounding Revelation. Moreover we make use of several allies to search, earn resources and boost our intelect, they are also a way of surviving in last resort.

HANDBOOK

With this deck you will never have to draw the old fashion. You want to draw normally as few as possible because of Astounding Revelation. Old Book of Lore is her for you to search when needed and avoid weaknesses or Astounding Revelation. It is 1 free weakness selected draw guaranted, and sometimes 2 extra resources or 1 refill on a secret-based card.

Research Librarian is here for Old Book of Lore (or your missing one(s)) until you have a better tome to draw, as Pnakotic Manuscripts, The Necronomicon (Petrus de Dacia) The Necronomicon (Olaus Wormius). As he searches your entire deck, if you haven't drawn all of your Astounding Revelation he is refunded ! Could also be used early on Archaic Glyphs, to complete those quickly.

In a really good setup, you can

1- Play Archaic Glyphs

2- Play Research Librarian

3- Reveal Astounding Revelation, immediatly put a secret on Archaic Glyphs.

4- Play Calling in Favors, aim for the 2nd Research Librarian, luckily find it, Revealing another Astounding Revelation, 2nd secret on glyphs.

5- Use your extra action on Archaic Glyphs and discard an card completing the quest and eaning 5 Resources

5bis- (Turn after if haven't drawn the 2nd Research Librarian) Play the second Research Librarian back in hand, Astounding Revelation, complete the Archaic Glyphs, 5 Resources.

/!\ It is a rare case but if you have drawn all the other Tomes, you'll have to draw The Necronomicon (John Dee).

Deduction does not really have synergies but it is such a good card. You can replace it. You can consider Ward of Protection.

INTRODUCTION

YOU SHOULD NOT MULLIGAN TOO MUCH, to avoid drawing Astounding Revelation.

Mulligan for

Archaic Glyphs (untranslated) is a must keep in the FIRST SCENARIO, because the earlier you drop it, the easier it is to achieve (with a Research Librarian+Astounding Revelation.

Research Librarian, Calling in Favors if you have the previous one. If you have both, mulligan away any other ally.

Any ally is good otherwise.

Backpack is a nice way to filter what you need.

Daisy's Tote Bag, keep yourhands free for Magnifying Glass, more books and mitigate The Necronomicon.

Without Backpack, you want to keep:

St. Hubert's Key if you have either Charles Ross, Esq. or Dr. Milan Christopher) or [ Calling in Favors + Research Librarian]

Magnifying Glass, only one without the Bag

GLOSSARY (UPGRADES)

In Dunwich Fine Clothes are only for the first scenario. You can replace it with the next tome or the Bulletproof Vest, Daisy is a fast learner !

One Charisma ASAP, 2nd is Optional (seems good within Dunwich though). Remember that you can have the 2 Research Librarians at the same time, but only one of each unique !

Magnifying Glass is good to make room for more tomes or The Necronomicon. Plus 1 resource economy is always nice. Take with floating xp.

Archaic Glyphs glyphs can be upgraded to both, but I prefer Archaic Glyphs (prophecy) rather than Archaic Glyphs (stones). One if each copy is a good compromise also. Yu can run Shrewd Analysis if you don't really care, and want to save some xp.

Encyclopedia is probably my favorite "early" Tome

Pnakotic Manuscripts is one of the best Tome you can have and combos with Astounding Revelation !

Higher Education is insane bc of how much resources you can generate, plus your hand shouldn't empty.

Segment of Onyx is extraordinary with Backpack, appliable on Charles Ross, Esq. and Pendant of the Queen can be refilled with ... AR.

Deduction(2) is a nice way to spend your extra xp.

Pathfinder is a must have in any seeker deck, but you could not have any room for it. Don't be afraid to cut off some of the early tomes for it, With the search, you can run 1 of each if you still want diversity.

QUOTATIONS (HONOURABLE MENTIONS):

In the Know can save you a lot of actions, avoid dangerous places and be refilled by Astounding Revelation.

Book of Shadows can refill the Archaic Glyphs

Death • XIII is arguable, because

1) You won't Mulligan hard

2) You should have enough resource to play it anyway

3) Your setup is already quite long

OP. CIT. (Variants)

My collection isn't ecclectic, sadly.

Here are some cards that can go really well into this deck:

Encyclopedia, almost as good as the upgraded version (5 turns is a lot) and can be refilled with Astounding Revelation

Knowledge is Power, useful on glyphs, can trigger any tome so basically a 1-card for an action. Later on, we will definetly have some secrets to save with this.

With Xp: Esoteric Atlas (1) and (2), actions saving and avoiding encounters.

Old Book of Lore action and resources and refill with AR, I know still this card...

The Necronomicon (Petrus de Dacia) If you want this one, Knowledge is Power is absolutely mad to combo with.

Note: this is a multiplayer deck. In solo, you should replace Dr. Milan Christopher or Charles Ross, Esq. by Dr. William T. Maleson and add some defensive options, maybe "I've got a plan!" or Occult Invocation. At least use the Research Librarian to get Occult Lexicon as a chance to kill mandatory enemies.
