This is another deck I made for a solo play-through of the Dunwich Legacy campaign, on easy mode.

The reason I chose Pete is because of Duke and the fact that he begins in play and ready. This also makes him probably (not knowing how the PtC investigators will do) the prime choice for solo play.

What I had in mind constructing this is deck is flexibility. So a lot of cards might be dead, or redundant, but the also serve the purpose of being able to ready duke. Besides that, I wanted to go on the Pete & friends upgrade path, so a lot of allies (2x Stray Cat and 2x Peter Sylvestre). Scavenging helps me recover my weapons, and a magnifying glass is a fast card for a permanent boost. I decided to use Liquid Courage for horror healing because of Ashan's good willpower stat.

My campaign: (POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD!!):

Extracurricular Activity: the first encounter card made me shuffle Duke back in the deck, but thanks to Working a Hunch and Lucky!, I managed to save the students before thing got out of hand. Still managed to get only 1 XP, which I held on to for now.

The House Always Wins: Here too, I managed to make it to act 3, but since the agenda was advancing quite rapidly I had to resign w/o Peter Clover unfortunately. But I did get 3 extra XP with which I could upgrade into bigPeter Sylvestre.

The Miskatonic Museum: This is a scenario I didn't enjoy in the past since it is skill check after skill check (for most of the time in the mythos phase). But this time around I went a lot better, managed tot pull the Necronomicon and the willpower checks were easier this time. MVP: upgraded Pete Sylvestre + Painkillers. Three extra XP, with which I got Charisma.

The Essex County Express: This was the most difficult one to date, since the first encounter card I drew was the Emergent Monstrosity and I didn't have any weapons! So with careful evading and taking some damage, I finally managed to get rid of it thanks to the Agenda deck advancing and this thing was sucked into another dimension! After that it was easy, although I was afraid when I entered the Engine car and I had to draw 3 encounter cards. Luckily for me, those were two cultists which I could spawn at another location and the Arcane Barrier. The barrier didn't matter since I was already at my destination. Duke investigated twice and everybody was relieved, the train moved again.

Blood On The Altar: The first true failure! Clue gathering was not a problem, given that I had Duke. And the encounter deck was relatively nice for me. However, things were getting a bit too good and at some point I had a Hunting Nightgaunt and Mobster to deal with. Those two got me good and I even had to kill poor Duke. But, with 5 damage and 3 horror on me I still managed to get the Key to the Chamber and to the The Hidden Chamber. But there were a lot of clues in play and I was never able retrieve all of them. So I got two clues, but after that Silas Bishop attacked and it was over.. I chose one physical trauma to take to the next scenario. I also lost The Necronomicon On the flipside, the next scenario is bit less difficult now..

Upgrades: Scrapper (because permanent) and a leather coat or maybe a fire extinguisher...

Undimensioned and Unseen: Succes!! Despite the fact that four people were sacrificed to Yog-Sothoth, I only had to deal with two of his broods. I got a lot of clues in the beginning, which was helpful later on. I managed to put clues on the broods and destroy them both. I also had to deal with a Lupine Thrall and an Avian Thrall, but I managed to evade them both and that was that. Very tense scenario, but the pleasure of completing it (for the first time, succesfully!) was immense.

Where Doom Awaits: Another success. This one felt a tad bit easier than the last one, but I might have gotten lucky with the encounter deck with only a lupine thrall somewhere, that I didn't have to deal with. Because I was able to kill all broods, I had enough time to gather clues and when I was at Sentinel Peak, I was able to evade Seth Bishop and investigate successfully (twice!). I even pulled an elder sign on my last turn. Now to enter the gate...

Lost in Time and Space: Alas, all was for nothing. Despite my best efforts, Yog-Yothoth became one with all reality and I was driven insane. The one big mistake I made was forgetting I needed two clues to enter the edge of the universe and I couldn't find any doorways to it, once I had those two clues. And besides that, I pulled Beyond the Veil and at some point I had no cards in my deck. End of story.., but now on to Carcosa!

Thanks for sharing this deck! I only have one Core so substituted a few cards with similar ones, and played Miskatonic Museum standalone first, lost by running out of cards and suffered the 10 damage! Will try it with other scenarios as well.

@corbsyou're welcome! Beyond the Veil is imo one of the worst treacheries in the game. With the upgraded Peter Sylvestre, you shoud be fine (most of the time). Good luck with the other scenarios.

Well @trebtective I've had three plays against Miskatonic Museum and I have resigned 3 times, but always got quite close. I think it really depends on which Exhibit Halls you get first. I got the 0 clue one and had the low clue security office and Admin office, so had to go back to the Admin office to get the single clue. That got a locked door before I could investigate it and I had no chance of removing the locked door! Would you suggest I swap any cards out for this scenario?
