Summary

Last updated: Into the Maelstrom - April 2021.

This build focuses on a combo called "High Horse" (or "dark Roller") which uses the synergy between High Roller + Dark Horse.

The jist: With 3 resources, Jenny can spend them on high roller to give herself a +3 to one skill test (+2 from highroller and +1 from dark horse), then if successful, use those resources again for another test by spending them on cards like Streetwise, Moxie, and Fire Axe, or on utility like Lola Santiago and Green Man Medallion.

With the new addition of Geas, Jenny can reliably have a base skill value of 4-5 to all stats. I also run a few additional assets that increase stats: St. Hubert's Key, Lola Santiago, and The Moon • XVIII.

(max: 6, 7, 5, 7).

Finally we use Lone Wolf, Faustian Bargain, and Easy Mark, and Emergency Cache to assist in a fast setup and replenish resources.

After running 4 different versions of jenny. (Big Money, "High Horse", Black market (with Charles Ross, Esq. + Joey "The Rat" Vigil), and Overachiever) - This build is the most effective, the most reliable, and subjectively the most fun.

This deck only uses Jenny's replacement signature (Green Man Medallion) and replacement weakness (Sacrificial Beast) promos found in the Novella: Hour of the Huntress both cards fit well into the "high horse" archetype.

While this deck can be used with the original signature (Jenny's Twin .45s) and weakness (Searching for Izzie) they are not very synergetic with this deck.

ROLE

This version is for a Cluer with evade support. Because of Jenny's stat line and skill boosting, you could easily fill in where needed. Great for multiplayer and solo.

PROS:

  • High skill tests.
  • 4+ base skill value to all stats.
  • Lots of resources, but always running out.
  • Great solo.
  • Easy Weakness.

CONS:

  • Slower Setup, lot of different assets.
  • Cannot Commit cards (Geas).
  • often = 0.

TIPS

GREEN MAN MEDALLION

You get an average of +8 experience from this card over a campaign. More if you do standalones or pull it more frequently. My record is 14 over 9 scenarios. This gives Jenny a bunch of extra upgrading power during a campaign.

The can power Dark Horse and is the same amount returned from High Roller.

St. Hubert's Key competes for the accessory slot, but the medallion should always have priority. You can purchase Relic Hunter if you want both, but is uncommon to draw into both.

GEAS

Always choose "commit". You boost skills with resources.
