This deck was designed to be paired with Marion Takes a Gunbit deck by @Providence. Very fun concept, go check it out :)

Synergies with Marion:

Bob's innate ability allows Marion to play her Gun without triggering attacks of opportunity, hence mitigating a risk related to her combo.

Friends in Low Places can be resolved by either Bob or Marion. Bob can do the usual rogue shenanigans (chain easy marks, place talents & allies on top of his deck). Marion can search for her Gun after she cycles it back into her deck.

Shrewd Dealings allows Bob to give Lupara to Marion and scavenge it back, fitting into Marion's gun cycling concept and adding consistency.

Lupara is really the main use case for Shrewd Dealings, but there are a few other options:

  • Play Backpack under Marion's control.
  • Play Old Keyring under Marion's control. Remington and Lupara are both best kept in their owner's hand to be played only after an enemy shows up, leaving Marion's hand slot free during turns with no enemy.
  • Play Marion's 2nd Wolf Mask under Bob's control. Suddenly Bob becomes a competent fighter and can play guns under his own control, if tempo demands it.

Rest of the deck:

Backpack has countless targets to help with setup.

Old Keyring, Flashlight and Matchbox reduce location shroud value to trigger Lola Santiago at low cost.

Lockpicks triggers Lucky Cigarette Case and Scavenging.

Scavenging has multiple targets (Old Keyring, Flashlight, Matchbox, Schoffner's Catalogue, Lupara, Talisman of Protection)

Take Heart and Grizzled (Terror and Hazard) are here for mythos tests, admittedly a weak point of this duo where both investigators have 2.

Bob & Marion help each other survive with Talisman of Protection and Soothing Melody.

Notice how the number of cards is a perfect match to transition from a main discard archetype to a balanced discard, money & oversucceed gameplay.

Final thoughts:

I truly believe that pairing Bob with "Gunbit" Marion is a win. Both in terms of flavor and gameplay synergies. I can't wait to test this in my next campaign! Thanks again to @Providence for the inspiration, and please let me know what you think :)
