This deck was made for play Pendant of the Queen with new taboo list. The idea is move charges from Obfuscation to Pendant of the Queen With Eldritch Sophist.
With Backpack, I like Charles Ross, he reduces the cost of you itens by 1, and you can accumulate for next round, (but if another investigator play an item at your location, it's forced to cheap the item)
In first Scenario, I prefer play with Lockpicks, because the chance of fail is very low, but you can use Magnifying Glass or Flashlight if you want.
Upgrade path:
-
- 1x Working a Hunch and 2x Cryptographic Cipher to 3x Segment of Onyx
-
- 2x "You handle this one!" to 2x Forewarned
-
- 2x Charles Ross, Esq. to 2x Lola Santiago
-
- 1x Lucky Cigarette Case to 1x Lucky Cigarette Case
-
- 1x Charisma
You can go Versatile for Enraptured, a very strong card to put another charge on Pendant of the Queen, and can be targeted with Practice Makes Perfect. if you want, go Three Aces, but in the new taboo, I think is better whithout.
Another interesting card is The Skeleton Key because the sinergy with Lola Santiago and Backpack
If you need combat cards, you can go Sneak Attack or "I've got a plan!".

Jul 03, 2021play , with Eldritch Sophist, allow put more 6 charges from osbfuscation, for this reason I likeBackpack because I think is more funny than Mr. "Rook", and like more Lola Santiago most important for permanet bonus. Go to Mr. "Rook" is very strong, but for personal taste I go to lola (I aways play in hard mode too, só I like the permanent bonus and buy clues) |
I can understand your reasoning for building your deck this way.
Unfortunately, I fear that it's just going to be a worse version of this one:

Also, I'm surprised that Taboo Mr.Rook isn't in the upgrade path given that you can trigger Rook's ability in the [free] window of your investigation, which you can use to discard your signature weakness.
