Olympics Gold Medal: Sharpshooter (Fight with 400+ final val

Can Preston beat the sharposhooting contest with his marvelous base skill of 1 ?

Contest rules

• Solo play. No help from other investigators.

• No infinite combo. If your combo can go infinite, it's not valid. That's why i excluded cards like "Not without a fight!" or Well Connected because they give unbounded bonuses.

The man

The Red-Gloved Man raise base and to 6.
Trial by Fire raise and to 5. With Tristan Botley you get to 6.

With Key of Ys, The Black Fan and Geas, all your stats are now to 11.

With one Run For Your Life in discard, Yaotl bump those skills to 15.

Discarding one Ace of Rods brings this up to 17.

With 7 horrors (the Black Fan gives +1 sanity), Fight or Flight will give you another +14 to your and (for a total of 31).

The weapon

Hyperphysical Shotcaster is the only one-handed firearm Preston can use. It can give a +2 to his skill.

With 2 Jury-Rig, you can however use all durabilities to get +12 for one test.

Bruiser will give you another +2.

Total +16

The Turn

With Ace in the Hole, Blur×4, The Black Fan and Ace of Rods) we will have 12 actions.

They break as follow :
– 2 successfull Evade actions with Blur.
– 4 Draw actions. We need a ton of cards in our hand, and we can start our turn with no more than 8 (max hand size). I went with Friends in Low Places and Double, Double because that was the only way to get enough card draw (27 cards in is pretty nice, are jealous). Thanks to Bolstering, even 1-: Innate skills get a second icon.
– 1 Play action (Geas, and promise you will not play any more cards). Because we play a lot of (fast) events, we couldn't have started our turn with Geas already in play.
– and the final Fight action.

The skills

27 of these cards have been fetched with Friends in Low Places and have another icon.

With a 12actions turn, Calculated Risk gives you 12 .

Each Savant is 18 .

Because we are fighting a Droning Horde, each Grizzled will give you 9 .

Strength in Numbers is 6 .

Thanks to Moon Pendant, each of our 9 Tarots (excluding the Ace of Rods we discarded for it's ) count as 4 .

Run For Your Life is 4 , Manual Dexterity and Cunning 3.

Add in a bunch of with the leftover Innate cards (and one "I'm outta here!" for 2 more).

That's 170 icons, doubled by Helping Hand for a total of 340.

The test

With Sharpshooter, you can use and add your modifier (26, not counting your base value of 5).

31+26+16+340= 413

If you are afraid of , add Justify the Means instead of "I'm outta here!".
