I need to do some more work before actually running this, as I'm sure there's too many gimmicks and not enough draw and resource economy. Still, I think the underlying ideas are clever.

First: The core idea of the deck was to use the Eyes of Flame upgrade on Summoned Servitor to let Sister Mary investigate once a turn with base skill of 4, plus the easier bag that her natural supply of blessings gets her.

Then I remembered that Guardian actually has a bunch of in-class lore boosts to pump that 4 up, too. Field Agent gives a static bonus and can take horror to get automatic clues, too.

I then realized that the new set has a blessed card called Absolution which can heal horror from allies, even from multiple allies at once. So I conceived the idea of a "lazy mary" cluever deck where she makes no tests herself, merely directing an army of field agents and servitors to gather all the clues for her while she sits back and absolves their sins. Alice Luxley gives another boost to bring the Servitor up to base 6, and deals automatic damage when your field agents snag clues, too. Trusted becomes ike a cheap Working a Hunch in this context which also lets you stack up more horror for batch healing if someone can donate you the resources.

I was starting to get concerned about the resource costs here, but then I realize that Prophetic tri-color boosts both spells and spirit cards, of which Guardian has plenty. Absolution is a spell, so you can pull 5 to 7 free tokens with it if you have your Prophetics down. Spectral Razor is a spell, and now re-usable if you pull a blessing. Gang Up is a Spirit card that does 4 damage with Prophetic in play, 5 if you also have Scroll of Secrets or make room for Divination. Even Sweeping Kick is a spirit card.

I still needed more economy so included Voice of Ra for bless synergy and Rite of Sanctification, which is not a great card, but it is very fun to feed it to Summoned Servitor.

I should've stopped there and rounded it out with skills, more resource cards, maybe an investigate spell, and some anti-mythos utility like Ward of Protection (both spell and spirit). Instead I felt like I needed to give her the iconic blessed blade, and then find a reason for her not to be wielding a 2-hander. Since poking around with a flashlight is clearly beneath her, that reason was Boxing Gloves, with an Occult Reliquary to make the blade usable. With those gloves on she fights with the blade at a 7, chucks spectral razors at 9+, and can use each kill to tutor for more attacks or for utility like Stand Together and Ward of Protection, if I can ever make room for them.

This is a mechanically incoherent flex with no consistency that somehow spent almost 40 XP without even getting Stick to the Plan, so I know it needs work. But I do feel like there's something here in the basic Summoned Servitor / Field Agent Absolution. And this could absolutely shine with some help from teammates toting The Key of Solomon to recharge the field agents.

Oh yeah, Motivational Speech is a spirit card, too.

Am just now realizing that Read the Signs would be great here with Favor of the Sun or Favor of the Moon. She'll test at like 8-10 with all her boosters out, before pumping with prophetic.

I know Mary runs asset heavy, but 0 skills is a new record.

I like the ideas (I have my own deck ready to publish around one of them...) but I think it's too busy currently. Generally using Mary's Willpower to investigate with Sixth Sense and/or Clairvoyance is cheaper and easier than Summoned Servitor. Servitor is also an Ally slot I think on your deck (the upgrade that stops that doesn't look to be taken) so you would need an extra copy of Charisma to run everyone. Card draw here is also tricky outside of your Boxing Gloves, and Stick to the Plan would help a lot in finding them with Prepared for the Worst.

Something I've considered in the past with Field Agent is Protecting the Anirniq, and Mary is the only Guardian who can use this outside of Roland. If you're keen to spam them for clues that and Calling in Favors can refresh them.

I'll look forward to more of your decks in the future, creativity is always good!
