Agnes Baker as fighter in a duo play with Rex (https://arkhamdb.com/deck/view/5305054)
Enemy Management classic Shrivelling, later joined by its upgrade Shrivelling, Spectral Razor, Brand of Cthugha + Brand of Cthugha. Baseball Bat was rotated out fairly early, but Meat Cleaver stayed until the end for its capacity to trigger Agnes' special ability.
Fight or Flight was sometimes used jointly with the hand weapons, ok synergy with the horrors that Agnes tend to take, but the card did not impress us.
Worth highlighting the different ways to trigger Agnes' ability. Beyond the already mentioned Meat Cleaver, also to note Shrivelling side effect (hence why I preferred Shrivelling to Azure Flame), Forbidden Knowledge, Painkillers.
Stats boosting Peter Sylvestre (especially the upgraded Peter Sylvestre), and Holy Rosary. Guts obviously useful.
Healing and Mythos protection Peter Sylvestre + Fearless + Ward of Protection + Deny Existence, later joined by Earthly Serenity. Probably more than enough but finally worked well and allowed for some self-harming action compression tactics (e.g. ignoring an engaged enemy, damaging it with attacks of opportunities.
Economy Arcane Initiate to find these necessaries fighting spells + Uncage the Soul to pay for them. + Forbidden Knowledge (as it also helps trigger Agnes' ability).
Take Heart probably a bit awkward in this deck, but had its use.
Flex Rite of Seeking for being able to help with clues during times without enemies. It did not happen that much, even at 2 players. Today, I would have probably favored Drawn to the Flame.
Lucky!, always a nice card to have and the classic Unexpected Courage.
Charisma, mostly chosen to include story allies.
