Norman has always kept his eyes fixated on the stars, dreaming of greater things and wasted opportunities. How ironic that the void in the heavens he obsesses over mirrors very clearly the lack of good deck building options available when Norman was first released. Norman always was a bit of an odd duck, and his odd deck building restrictions have been a challenge to say the least. But along came The Circle Undone, which has granted Norman more than a few significant boons. This desk pairs well with any other general investigator, and may be able to face solo on easy or normal difficulties. I have tested it through hard TCU with Yorrick with surprisingly efficient results.

The build up is simple, mulligan hard for Hawk-Eye Folding Camera and a damaging spell. Then suck up the last clue on locations to build up the camera and play both Connect the Dots and Crack the Case. You get more usability out of spell assets with Knowledge is Power, and can repeat spell events thanks to Dayana Esperence. Most of the cards have low cost, but repeating Storm of Spirits can be expensive, so Emergency Cache and Uncage the Soul come in handy. Fine Clothes and Persuasion also interact well when spells dry up.

Upgrading it has three phases. First, get prepared for spell combat. Second, improve clue collecting. And third, increase longevity with health soaks and cancellations.

1) Upgrade Shrivelling x2 with Shrivelling (3) x2. You shouldn't need to upgrade it any further with his already impressive will stat.

2) Replace Knife x2 with Storm of Spirits x2.

3) Upgrade Storm of Spirits x2 to Storm of Spirits (3) x2. This should be the last of the combat upgrades necessary.

4) Time for some low hanging fruit with Versatile. With this grab bag, go for Deduction x2, Rite of Seeking x2 and Uncage the Soul x1. Thanks to Norman's ability to use the top card of his deck, the extra five cards doesn't slow down his card draw.

5) Upgrade Rite of Seeking x2 to Rite of Seeking (2) x2. This helps make up for the restriction to level 0 Seeker cards.

6) Replace "I've got a plan!" x2 with Deny Existence x2. By now you have enough ways to handle enemies.

7) Replace Mr. "Rook" x2 with Dayana Esperence (3) x2. I prefer losing Rook to Maleson, but you can pick your poison on this.

8) Upgrade Deny Existence x2 to Deny Existence (5) x2.
