Prophet Mateo

This is a Father Mateo deck designed to provide support and some clues for a squad of three or four investigators.

The key focus is on using a combination of sealing and bless to improve the chaos bag for all players. With a better bag, Mateo should be able to hold his own and make use of cards that have synergy with bless/auto-success, or avoid the bad symbols on cards like Shrivelling and Rite of Seeking.

As an added bonus, Prophetic helps make up for Mateo's 4head while also paying for a significant number of cards.

Goals

Improve the chaos bag

• Seal with The Chthonian Stone and eventually Seal of the Seventh Sign
• Find seals with Scroll of Prophecies
• Generate bless with Keep Faith and Book of Psalms
• Keep bless in the bag with Sacred Covenant

Support clue-ving

• Help find clues with Rite of Seeking, Read the Signs, and Guided by Faith
• Succeed tests with Guts, Olive McBride, The Codex of Ages, Holy Rosary, Prophetic and eventually Seal of the Elder Sign
• Level up these cards faster with Arcane Research

Don't be deadweight

• Take care of Serpents of Yig or the odd combat with Spectral Razor and Shrivelling
• Upgrading Read the Signs and Spectral Razor give multiple uses when used with bless or auto-success

Pay for it

• Be Prophetic
• Uncage the Soul for big spells, looking ahead to Seal of the Seventh Sign
• Dip into the Emergency Cache
